STAR Housing is looking for an ambitious Head of Corporate Services to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation and the services we deliver to our communities across Shropshire.

The role

As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you’ll provide strategic leadership across a broad and influential portfolio, including:

• IT and Business Transformation (including performance)
• Communications and Marketing
• Customer Engagement and Complaints
• Governance, Risk, Procurement and Contract Management
• Executive and Corporate Support Services

Working closely with the Corporate Director and Head of Finance, you’ll drive improvement, innovation and high performance, ensuring STAR delivers excellent, customer-focused housing services now and in the future.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading complex corporate services and transformation programmes
• Advising EMT, SMT and the Board on best practice, risk and governance
• Strengthening customer engagement and stakeholder relationships
• Driving performance through robust data, dashboards and reporting
• Ensuring strong financial management, value for money and compliance
• Championing STAR as a key place-shaper within the county

You’ll be a confident, forward-thinking leader with:

• Senior-level experience across corporate or public sector services
• A strong track record in transformation, governance and performance
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• A passion for customer-focused services and continuous improvement
• The ability to lead, inspire and empower high-performing teams
